NEUROMUSCULAR TRAINING PROGRAMS

  • REMAIN IN THE GAME
    Mobile app | Osteoarthritis Action Alliance | Free

    • Athletes access programs via a free mobile app and complete approximately 10 minutes of selected exercises at every practice.

    • Coaches provide programs to athletes, using sample routines or combining exercises for custom playlists.

    • Available resources include program website, coaches’ guide and video library.

    • Hosted by The Osteoarthritis Action Alliance (OAAA) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and endorsed by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA)

  • THE 11+
    Warmup desigend for soccer, ages 13+ that can be completed two ways:

    • The full program of exercises, in order, before practice or competition  (15-20 mins)

    • Parts 1 & 3 before practice (7-10 mins) then Part 2 after practice (7-10 mins)

    • Available resources include poster with exercises, program manual and video library.

  • NETBALL SMART
    The official injury prevention program of Netball New Zealand, this evidence-based framework is made of six principles that improve performance by preventing injuries. Materials include:

    • The Dynamic Warm-Up — A full neuro-dynamic warm-up for practice and games

    • The Power Warm-Up — A shorter warm up for tournament settings w/ multiple games in a day

    • Landing Skills Booklet — A 10 minute workout that progresses athletes through three levels of landing and movement skills to improvement neuromuscular control.

 

ONLINE COURSES FOR COACHES

  • ACL INJURY PREVENTION
    NFHS | Free | 30 mins | All Sports
    This course is designed to teach you about the causes of ACL injury, how to identify and correct movement deficiencies that can lead to ACL injuries, and how to effectively lead a Neurodynamic Warmup before practices and games.

  • MAP FOR COACHES
    Musculoskeletal Athletic Injury Prevention Online Training Course for Coaches
    The MAP for Coaches is a novel eLearning tool for youth sports coaches to increase their knowledge regarding sports-related musculoskeletal injuries and best injury prevention practices towards reducing injuries and enhancing performance in youth sport athletes. Current offered in four sports: Soccer | Basketball | Football | Volleyball
