NEUROMUSCULAR TRAINING FOR ALL SPORTS

  • RIIP REPS
    Mobile app | HSS | Free

    • App-delivered agility body control training that builds athletic strength, agility, and control when accelerating, stopping on a dime, cutting, jumping and landing for athletes ages 13+. Four 7-minute sessions per week. No special equipment.

  • REMAIN IN THE GAME
    Mobile app | Osteoarthritis Action Alliance | Free

    • Athletes access programs via a free mobile app and complete approximately 10 minutes of selected exercises at every practice. Coaches provide programs to athletes, using sample routines or combining exercises for custom playlists. Hosted by The Osteoarthritis Action Alliance (OAAA) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and endorsed by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA). Available resources include program website, coaches’ guide and video library.

    Mobile app | International Olympic Committee (IOS) | Free

    • 30 summer sports covered, with specific exercises tailored by sport. All exercises are presented through videos with easy to follow instructions on how to perform the exercise correctly and with varying levels to make them more difficult and challenging as you progress. Designed to be carried out with minimum equipment. Available for download on Android and iPhone

  • KIPP
    Exercise Program | Lurie Children's Institute for Sports Medicine

    • KIPP for Athletes: A six-week neuromuscular exercise program to help reduce athletes' risk of sports-related knee injuries, especially tears of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACLs).

  • THE 11+
    Soccer Warmup | Free

    • 11+ (ages 13 and up) can be completed in two ways: (1) the full program of exercises, in order, before practice or competition  (15-20 mins); and (2) Parts 1 & 3 before practice (7-10 mins) then Part 2 after practice (7-10 mins). Available resources include poster with exercises, program manual and video library.

    • 11+ Kids (ages 12 and under) is an adapted version of the 11+ designed as a warmup for youth soccer, ages 6-12. Available resources include poster with exercises and video library.

  • LAXFIT
    Lacrosse Warmup & Exercise Program | USA Lacrosse | Free for members
    A research-driven, standardized and comprehensive program that focuses on core strength, balance, mobility, and proper landing techniques.

  • NETBALL SMART
    Netball Warmup & Workout program | Netball New Zealand | Free
    The official injury prevention program of Netball New Zealand, this evidence-based framework is made of six principles that improve performance by preventing injuries. Materials include:

    • Dynamic Warm-Up — Full warmup for practice and games

    • Power Warm-Up — Shorter warmup for tournaments w/ multiple games in a day

    • Landing Skills — 10 minute workout that progresses athletes through three levels of landing and movement skills

  • ACL INJURY PREVENTION

    This course is designed to teach you about the causes of ACL injury, how to identify and correct movement deficiencies that can lead to ACL injuries, and how to effectively lead a Neurodynamic Warmup before practices and games.

  • HOW TO LEAD AN EFFECTIVE WARMUP IN YOUTH SOCCER

    Help reduce the risk of injury in youth soccer athletes by implementing an evidence based warmup for youth soccer players.

  • KIPP FOR COACHES
    Lurie Children's Institute for Sports Medicine | Free
    A free, online training program to help coaches reduce the risk of ACL tears and other lower extremity injuries in athletes. Coaches learn how to lead their athletes through a 10-minute knee injury prevention warm-up routine. After completion of the online training course coaches will receive access to a mobile friendly website.
